Shawnee County Parks + Recreation's three golf courses -- Lake Shawnee, Cypress Ridge and Forbes -- combined efforts in November to collect 1,448 pounds of food for Project Topeka. The courses offered golfers a dollar off green fees for each can of food they brought for Project Topeka which serves seven local food banks.
